I cannot believe it’s December 1st. This year has been a doozy from beginning to end with all its changes and adjustments. Looking at the calendar, I can’t help but think about the last 31 days of 2022. This rusty old bucket is a visual of how I’ve been feeling lately. I don’t mind being “vintage,” but when I try to do things to “fill” my bucket with joy, love, peace, and gratitude, it goes out as quickly as it went in, leaving a “hole,” if you will. All of this has led me to this moment and the theme of the next thirty-one days. What do you do to fill your bucket? It’s the holiday season, and no matter what you celebrate, it brings with it decorations, gifts, gatherings, food, shopping, etc. It’s day one of December, and I’m still trying to find my Christmas spirit. I’m looking for the “magic” it used to hold and the joy it used to bring. I’m not saying I’m feeling Grinchy or Scrooge-ish; I’m saying I want it to mean more than checking things off the “To Do List.” I used to bake and start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, but this year, I’m struggling to get into the groove. That is where you all come in…I’m going to post and share on Instagram and Facebook and ask you all what brings you joy and fills your holiday bucket. My thought is that I can/will live vicariously through you as we tackle the last days of 2022. I think a new perspective will be just what I need to shake off the doldrums. I REALLY WANT to experience organic joy from the little things in life. I want to repair the bucket and fill it to the rim with everything that makes life so grand and glorious. So, what do you say? Are you up for the challenge of sharing your traditions and your holiday spirit with me? I love learning new things, and I can’t wait to see what brings each of you joy! Much Love, Brynn

My faith and belief and joy is grounded in the simple word of Christ mas. Yes I’m a believer that it’s not Santa mas who actually was a follower of Christ and that’s why he spread love and joy to his townspeople - gifts of coin, food and clothing. All in the name of love. Even he kneels at the side of Christ’s crèche at the manger. I play Christmas movies, sing hymns when I can and my son, the Christmas elf decorates the inside of my house amazingly! Tree in but yet to be decorated! Outside decorated but with snow - gorgeous! - can’t put up yet 🥴. Loving on my children and grandchildren - just had breakfast with Santa - Christmas! It’s what you make of it - it’s that quiet joyous feeling inside you that makes you smile even if no baking done or wrapping or house cleaned🙄 Watch those feel good Christmas movies 👍. They work in a pinch!! Go to a short church service for Christmas hymn singing on Christmas Eve. Love on one another at a time love and forgiveness is at its very lowest. Merry Christmas, and May the true spirit find you - and receive it. 💚☘️
