The brand new Sun & Moon Academy College of Supernatural Guardians is an elite training program for a covert army that protects the supernatural community around the world. After a series of grueling trials to test their worthiness, only the top tier of applicants are admitted to the hidden college under the mountain.
We are ten of those students.
We’re a powerful mix of shifters, witches, vampires, demigods, angels, and more, making SMA no ordinary university. Throw in classes about healing potions, inter-dimensional exploration, and combat training, and college life here is a bit . . . well, unusual. But we still must juggle studying, obnoxious roommates, and killer parties. And, of course, we always make room for romance. How can we not? No other place in the world teems with such a sexy fusion of brains and badassery.
But classes haven’t even begun when our campus is terrorized, and the dangers continue throughout the semester—a hacker who threatens to publicly expose our school, a string of vampire attacks, invisible beasts with deadly bites, cursed classrooms that devour those who dare enter . . . What the hell kind of place is this, anyway?
For some reason that not even the Board of Regents has been able to figure out, it’s up to the ten of us to defeat these monsters and mayhem—before the sands in the big courtyard hourglass run out. Yep, we’re being timed, and the bodies are dropping almost as fast as the crystals. If any of us fail, this first semester of SMA just might be the last one ever.
In this unique anthology of over 750 pages, you not only get ten paranormal fantasy novellas, but one sweeping story that will have you flipping pages until the end.
Ten paranormal tales and one page-turning supernatural academy story in this spinoff from the award-winning Havenwood Falls universe.
Sun & Moon Academy Book Two: Spring Semester releases
Friday, October 23, 2020!
Sun & Moon Academy--where pass or fail can mean life or death.
10 more stories in one brought to you by Kristie Cook, Tish Thawer, Belinda Boring, Rose Garcia, E.J. Fechenda, Amy Richie, Justine Winter and Victoria Flynn .
Even after a harrowing first semester at Sun & Moon Academy College of Supernatural Guardians, we’re back. Well, those of us who survived, anyway. And when we return to campus after the winter break to start Spring Semester, several of us discover we’ve been placed in the new Interdisciplinary Task Force class, or ITF—but WTF is more like it. As in, WTF was the Board of Regents thinking when they came up with this idea?
They’ve thrown us into teams and assigned us “missions,” but they’re really just glorified group projects. And we all know how fun those are. Now just imagine all the team members are elite supernatural alphas. Yeah, this will certainly go well.
It quickly becomes apparent that the most challenging mission is called The Hunt. Each team draws a card with a bizarre image and a riddle that supposedly leads to discovering a magical object hidden somewhere on campus. Sounds easy, right? If only. To retrieve the artifact, we’re forced to face our worst fears, enter otherworldly realms, survive deadly curses, and more. Learning to work together becomes not only about the grade, but about saving each other’s lives.
If that’s not enough real world-like experience, there’s more. A god with a vengeance is determined to destroy all magic. Threatening the school, the town, and our world as we know it. This is why we’re at SMA—to train to become supernatural guardians—but for Hades’ sake, this is only our second semester. If we can’t step up, though, not only will we fail ITF, but we’ll fail the rest of the world.
In this anthology of over 750 pages, you once again get ten paranormal fantasy novellas that all come together as one page-turning tale.
As we creep closer to October and the month of all things spooky, magical, and supernatural, I decided to mix it up and share some MUST SEE movies and TV shows.
Most of these have a supernatural or sci-fi element to them, but there are a few that I chose because they tap into the creep meter/intensity zone I like as well. I'm a huge fan of a mystery needing to be solved and most of these fall into that category.
Top picks I think you must see as we head into October
Now don't get me wrong, all of the movies/shows I’ve shared in the graphics are binge-worthy, but the top five will get you started as we head into October. I'm currently watching Season 2 of The Boys. I have mixed emotions about this show. How about you? I like "The Boys" and Starlight, but the rest of them not so much. This is a show you'll either love or hate. I teeter between the two every episode.
Santa Clarita Diet and Dead to Me are dark comedies, but they’re HILARIOUS! I dare you not to laugh at some or all of it. Upload is one to take a look at, too. It's a comedy with a hint of sci-fi because of the premise. It made me laugh and at the time that was what I was looking for. Wynonna Earp is a great show. I love the entire cast, but Doc and Wynonna are the best. Penny Dreadful is deliciously dark and since I'm a huge fan of Eva Green it was a no-brainer. Two shows you must check the trailers on to see if they are your cup of tea are Travelers and Sense8. Travelers has a killer concept (no spoilers) and has kept me intrigued and wanting more. I fell in love with Sense8 out of the gate. The characters and their backstories blended with their connection to one another create a superb storyline. Disclaimer: Sense8 is very adult in concept and is not a show to attempt to watch with kiddos around. LOL!
I don't know about you, but I can’t wait to watch Netflix new release of Ratched starring Sarah Paulson. It looks fantastic and disturbingly creepy! BRING ON OCTOBER!
